GUINESS
Health:
The health himself! When off work been due to cuts/ fighting with other horses.
Personality:
Riding: Stiff in the beginning and needs a bit of time to loosen up. Needs an experienced rider to get him going and make use of all his talent, as he otherwise remains slow. Was Lisa’s personal horse but then brought in to the school as demand on lessons increased and Tsamadhi could not afford buying a new horse, but has been taken out of most of the lessons.
Lisa allows Guiness in lessons with experienced riders / and jumping lessons; which he Loves!
Box: A sweet sensible horse, can throw faces when he gets brushed under his tummy but does not mean anything with it. Easy to handle.
Other horses: Gets along well with most horses.
Info:
Guiness was born a wild horse. His mother was a Boerperd mare but they do not know who the father was. When the mother passed away, Alan contemplated weather to leave him out in the wild, or try capturing him. He decided to captivate him. 3 days he spent before he finally got him in to the horse box. Guiness was meant to be used for trail rides, but Alan saw great lot’s of potential in him, and sold him on to Alex, that put the basic schooling in to him; and from her, he was bought by Lisa, and is still with her.
Disciplines:
Jumping: Has an amazing flexibility and flies over the jumps.
Have jumped him up to 1.30 m without a problem, but as Lisa does not jump often, he get’s ridden by our more experienced riders, and easily jumps courses of 1m. Guiness might stop when scared of something, but seldom knocks. This horse would go far if ridden by a competitive rider wanting to move up levels, due to his honesty and being extremely elastic!
Dressage: Very elastic and does all movements with ease. Takes some time to soften and loosen his body, but once warmed up; he is a dream to sit on! A horse with great lots of potential!
Outride’s: Very good at the back. Not a lead horse as he can spook. Can get exited in the canter, and do happy bucks, but normally he behaves well.
Gymkhana’s: Not the bravest but does well when things he’s familiar with.
Likes: Jumping!
Dislikes: Plastic’s, strange unfamiliar looking obstacles.
Best Friend: Jackie- absolutely adores her.
